To my long-lost darling
Esther Leong, if you're reading this, thank God!!.. haha.. glad to hear from you thru my tagboard though. but please call me or sms me. Lost your number.. just wanna say, the 15th Sept is all yours, and I have set that date free. No worries. haha.. I'm really missing you so much. its been like how many years since we last met? think the last time we met was at your church for a service. a year and a half ago?? well, it doesn't matter as long as we have not forgotten each other! Missing you!
now back to my past few days of work. currently working for a recruitment agency... wonder if its ok to state the company here, but oh well, i guess better not.. the people are really friendly and outgoing. probably its the personality or recuit consultants. but so far, i really enjoyed my 2 days there though i had been working past 7pm (i should be off at 5.30pm) all because of the recruitment for an airline.. seriously don't think we can meet their target, but its always worth a try..
my first interview, i got nervous instead of the candidate.. but as the 2nd interview comes, i start to warm up and enjoyed my conversations with the candidates.. really got to know a lot of different personalities, different walks of life and the different mindset of each individual.. they really didnt mind a paycut of 1k from the current to the next job that they're interviewing for.. really impressed with their thinking. I guess I can never be like them. For me, as I get older, i want to get a higher salary, unless i'm totally not in the relevant industry where i need to start all over again (but i'm praying hard i won't do that. maybe when i'm near the retirement age, then i'll move by butts off the seat and allow others to take over me.. haha.. if that ever happens.)
met up with san ying yesterday after my work.. was suppose to head on for a seminar but seeing that san wasn't keen at all, we decided to head down to clarke quay central mall.. it was her first time there so we walk through almost every corner.. bought some presents for Eve since her birthday is coming soon.. its quite hilarious on the presents we bought for her though.. haha but she had better use it if she's vain.. haha..
not to mention that i saw someone i never expected to see, and he's someone i don't even feel like seeing and i have to chance upon him.. what a small world.. dunno why, seeing him kinda spoilt my evening.. but thank god we need to leave after writing a birthday message for eve. or else, i think i'm gonna feel very guilty spending the rest of the evening with san..
of course, not to mention that throughout the whole day with san, we've been discussing a lot about Tokyo and Osaka.. trying to know more and understand more on where san and layee wants to go so that we can plan a better route throughout the trip.. haha.. you may think i'm being very kiasu (i'm a singaporean!) in planning like almost half a year ahead but its better to plan early than later right? especially in a foreign land where even english language is not very widely spoken.. but of course, the itinerary is not complete.. realised that expenses seems to be getting higher and higher.. haha.. but am planning below 1.5k for 9D trip to Osaka and Tokyo.. of course this excludes air ticket but other than that, everything is in it.. hope we don't overspend *prays really really hard*
next, about my university applications, more or less, i'm set on Baruch college.. recognition wise, at least its accredited and the degree is acceptable in singapore civil service area.. but of course, this is just my top choice.. still opening up to more but am really too tired of researching for more.. have searched a lot, but they really don't offer my area of interests. i really dont think i want to go to a renowned school and take something that i don't like, because at the end of it, i know i can never score well, even if i put my whole mind in it, my heart just isn't there.. whats the point.. yes employers will not look at the results but just the school name. but i rather score well, fight my way through to a good masters degree or honours through recommendations and sponsorship from the school.. won't that be better?? i don't know.. everyone has different opinions..
praying that God will lead and guide me for I know that he has a good plan for me ahead. God bless you all ;)
