Is this a Sign??
Another tragic has occurred.. the world has lost its peacefulness once again.. both natural and man-made catastrophes.. what can this mean?? is this a sign of Judgment Day drawing near? or is this really the works of the devil??
first incident was 911, then SARS; tsunami; hurricanes and now Bali blasts... many in fact thousands close to millions of lifes in total were taken, beautiful lands were destroyed.. what can we do to help this world if we still wan to live? this will never end if someone does something.. but what can that person do??
i'm beginning to feel that scriptures in the bible are drawing near and true.. but i pray hard its not now.. there are so many things i've yet to do, yet to achieve, yet to enjoy the wonders of this world, the wonders of this fragile life given to us to explore our inner self.
reading the news about these tragic events has always allowed me to learn to appreciate and treasure the things, the people around me even more but not enough to the extend that i'll always be good, obedient coz i've never experience these tragedies before, well at least not directly.
i feel so much sympathy for ppl who've lost their loved ones. i somehow have the same feelings but i was more lucky at the fact that my sis is still safe and sound, and so are my family and friends in singapore. indeed, i am blessed with a good country safe from natural disasters and with strict, really strict defence and protection for us all..
